Takatuka, a wonderful village. Even more amazing is its primary school. Like the name “Takatuka”, the school also stands "Takatak" (outstanding) in terms of education in the entire Aravalli district.

In year 2012, we - the KRSF gap-filled the teachers in this school. In the beginning, our teachers made the students well conversant. Simultaneously, our teachers also prepared students to take various competitive exams to qualify for the government scholarships. The other school teachers also cooperated. When Bipinbhai Patel came as principal in 2015, our efforts got momentum in preparing the children the way we wanted.

In 2015, 168 children were studying in this primary school. There was also a trend of great proportion of children going to private schools from the village. Together with the principal, we held a meeting with the villagers and encouraged them to send the children to a government school for only a year. If the parents see no progress, the principal himself promised to issue the School Leaving Certificates. The parents put their faith in us and enrolled their children in the school. Since then, we worked hard as a team. Today, 268 children are studying in this Primary School and not a single student/parent want to go in the private school. The students of this school are preparing for various competitive exams – like Gnanasetu, Gnanasadhana, NMMS, Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance - conducted by the government. The children have started securing higher ranks in the entire district.

Sangeetaben, the current deputed KRSF teacher, has found a comfortable place with other schoolteachers. The school and the village also hold a special place in the heart of Shri Pratulbhai Shroff. Like conscious parents of the village and concerned School team of Shri Bipinbhai Patel – the Principal, the day would surely come when there will be no complaints against the Government Primary School.

Pratulbhai specially met all the teachers and parents of Takatuka School. He applauded everyone for their endeavors and promised to stand with them wherever and whenever needed. We hope that each and every Government school follow of the example of Takatuka Primary School.

ટાકાટુકા મજાનું ગામ ને એથીયે મજાની ગામની પ્રાથમિકશાળા. આમ તો આખા અરવલ્લી જિલ્લામાં શિક્ષણ બાબતે ટાકાટુકાગામના નામની જેમ શાળા પણ ટકાટક.

2012માં આ શાળામાં શિક્ષકોની ઘટની પૂર્તી કરવાનું કામ અમે એટલે કે KRSF એ કર્યું. અમારા શિક્ષકે સૌ પ્રથમ વાંચતા લખતા ન આવડે તે વિદ્યાર્થીઓને એકદમ પાવરધા કરવાનું કર્યું. સાથે સરકાર દ્વારા વિદ્યાર્થીને સ્કોલરશીપ મળે તે માટે લેવાતી વિવિધ પરિક્ષાઓની તૈયારી કરાવવાનું પણ કર્યું. શાળાના શિક્ષકોનો પણ આ કાર્યમાં ખુબ સહયોગ.

પણ 2015માં આચાર્ય તરીકે બીપીનભાઈ પટેલ આવ્યા ને અમારે બાળકોને જે રીતે તૈયાર કરવા હતા તે તૈયારીમાં અમને ગતિ મળી.

2015માં 168 બાળકો પ્રાથમિકશાળામાં ભણતા. ગામમાંથી ખાનગી શાળામાં બાળકોનું જવાનું પ્રમાણ પણ હતું. આચાર્ય સાથે મળીને ગામલોકો સાથે બેઠક કરી બાળકોને એક વર્ષ માટે સરકારી શાળામાં આપવા કહ્યું. જો પરિણામ ન મળે તો આચાર્ય શ્રીએ સામેથી શાળા છોડ્યાનું પ્રમાણપત્ર આપવા કહ્યું. વાલીઓેએ અમારા સૌ પર શ્રદ્ધા રાખી બાળકોને શાળામાં ફેર દાખલ કર્યા. એ પછી અમે ટીમ તરીકે મહેનત કરી. આજે 268 બાળકો પ્રાથમિકશાળામાં ભણે છે.

ગામનું એક પણ બાળક ખાનગીશાળામાં જતું નથી. આ શાળાના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ અત્યારથી સ્પર્ધાત્મક પરિક્ષાની તૈયારી કરતા હોય એ રીતે સરકાર દ્વારા લેવાતી બાળકોને સ્કોલરશીપ મળે તે માટેની વિવિધ પરિક્ષાઓ જેવી કે, જ્ઞાનસેતુ, જ્ઞાનસાધના, NMMS, નવોદય વિદ્યાલયની પરીક્ષા સમગ્ર જિલ્લામાં અવલ્લ આવવા માંડ્યા છે.

ફાઉન્ડેશનના શિક્ષીકા સંગીતાબેન દૂધમાં સાકર ભળે એ રીતે શાળાના શિક્ષકો સાથે ભળી ગયા છે.

આદરણીય પ્રતુલભાઈ શ્રોફને પણ આ શાળા અને ગામના જાગૃત નાગરિકો ખુબ ગમે. દરેક ગામમાં વાલીઓ જાગૃત થાય, બીપનભાઈ જેવા આચાર્ય મળી જાય તો પ્રાથમિકશાળાઓ પ્રત્યે લોકોને જે ફરિયાદ છે તે ફરિયાદ મટી જાય એ નક્કી.

પ્રતુલભાઈએ ખાસ ટાકાટુકાશાળાના તમામ શિક્ષક અને વાલીઓને મળ્યા. સૌને તેમની પ્રવૃતિ માટે બીરદાવ્યા ને જ્યાં જરૃર પડે ત્યાં સાથે હોવાનું કહ્યું. બસ ટાકાટુકા જેવી દરેક શાળા થાય તેવું ઈચ્છીએ...

The Leading Newspaper Mid-Day recognizes the efforts made by KRSF

Dr. K.R. Shroff Foundation has been doing welfare activities since last 12 years. The organization is founded by Shri Pratulbhai Shroff. 

The organization has made a major contribution in 630 village schools by appointing 705 trained teachers and reaching out to more than 65,000 students belonging to extremely deprived background.

How an educator from Patvali village of Narmada dedicates his home to educate children

 Though there were Children of eligible age for school, there was no school in the village. However, because parents realize the significance of education, they send their children across the river to the neighboring village to study. But they constantly feel that if they have school in the village, children would not have to risk crossing the river. The story is of Patavalli village in Narmada district. A few years ago, Padiyabhai of the village was very conscious about this and so he requested the Collector for the approval of a school in the village. Later the school was approved. But it might take years to build the building. The joint family of Padiyabhai and his brothers lived in one house and the front foyer of the house was very large. This foyer served as school for 30 children until a school building was built.

There are currently 105 children studying in the school. Kamleshbhai is from this family who provided their house to run the school. He did his M.A. in Education and joined us five years ago to work as a teacher in a government school wherever there is a shortage of teachers. The family has contributed a lot to light the flame of education and his devotion to duty is also mountainous. As also, Kamleshbhai wanted to join education activity and foundation provided an opportunity to fulfill his wishes.

Pratulbhai Shroff, the founder of our foundation, heard about the family's spirit of giving up something for the education, though living with limited resources. He went to this family's home and applauded their spirit. The family served him with spiced delicious tea. Kamleshbhai also sang a devotional "bhajan". 

Such families are the true torchbearers of Indian culture... and in turn we also feel proud to have Kamleshbhai with us...

ગામમાં નિશાળમાં જઈ શકે તે ઉંમરના બાળકો ખરા પણ ગામમાં નિશાળ નહીં. મા-બાપ શિક્ષણના મહત્વને સમજે એટલે બાજુના ગામમાં નદી પાર કરીને બાળકોને ભણવા મોકલે. પણ મનમાં સતત પોતાના ગામમાં નિશાળ થાય તો નદી પાર કરવાનું જોખમ ન વહોરવું પડે એવું થાય.

વાત છે નર્મદા જિલ્લાના પાટવલ્લીગામની. થોડા વર્ષો પહેલાં ગામના જાગૃત પાડિયાભાઈએ ગામમાં શાળાની મંજૂરી માટે કલેક્ટર શ્રીને વિનંતી કરી ને શાળાની મંજૂરી મળી ગઈ. પણ મકાન બંધાતા વરસ લાગે એમ હતું. પાડિયાભાઈ અને એમના ભાઈઓનો સંયુક્ત પરિવાર એક ઘરમાં રહે એ ઘરની ઓસરી ઘણી મોટી. આ ઓસરીમાં 30 બાળકોની નિશાળ જ્યાં સુધી શાળાનું મકાન ન બન્યું ત્યાં સુધી ચાલી. પછી શાળાનું મકાન બન્યું.

આજે શાળામાં 105 બાળકો ભણે છે. જેમણે પોતાનું ઘર શાળા ચલાવવા આપ્યું તે પરિવારમાંથી કમલેશભાઈ M.B.ed થયા ને અમારી સાથે સરકારી શાળાઓમાં જ્યાં શિક્ષકની ઘટ હોય તેવી શાળામાં શિક્ષક તરીકે કામ કરવા પાંચ વર્ષ પહેલાં જોડાયા. તેમની કર્તવ્ય નિષ્ઠા જબરી. પરિવારે શિક્ષણની જ્યોત પ્રગટાવવા પોતાનું યોગદાન આપેલું. એટલે કમલેશભાઈને પણ આ કાર્યમાં જ જોડાવું હતું ને ફાઉન્ડેશનના માધ્યમથી એમનો મનોરથ પૂર્ણ થયો.

મર્યાદીત સંસાધનો સાથે જીવતા પરિવારની શિક્ષણ માટે કાંઈક કરી છુટવાની ભાવના વિષે અમારા ફાઉન્ડેશનના સ્થાપક પ્રતુલભાઈ શ્રોફે સાંભળેલું તે ખાસ આ પરિવારના ઘરે ગયા. તેમની ભાવનાને બિરદાવી. પરિવારે મજાની ચા પીવડાવી સાથે કમલેશભાઈએ સરસ ભજન પણ સંભળાવ્યું.

ભારતીય સંસ્કૃતિના આવા પરિવારો સાચા વાહકો... અને કમલેશભાઈ અમારી સાથે હોવાનું ગૌરવ...
