A boy's dream of pursuing medical came true with the support of KRSF Foundation

Suresh was studying in 6th standard when his father passed away. He is the eldest of the two children of his parents. The financial condition of the family is weak. The family earns a living by doing whatever farm labor is available. Suresh is very clever in studies. But after his father's death, it was doubtful whether his mother would be able to raise him single-handedly. There were also small talks of giving up studying and taking up running the house to help his mother.

Suresh was going to study in the primary school of the village. There was lack of teachers in this school. Dr. K.R. Sroff Foundation filled in those vacancies. Suresh's condition came to the notice of the institute teacher. He feared that Suresh would drop out of the school. Finally, he talked to the workers of the organization to do something concrete in this matter and together they explained the situation to Suresh's mother. Government conducts NMNS exam to meet the cost of education. If a student clears this exam, he gets scholarship of 1000 per month till 12th standard. The teachers of the institute helped Suresh to pass the exam and he cleared it. Getting 1000 rupees monthly strengthened Suresh’s willpower.

Suresh participated in school activities

With the constant warmth of the workers of the organization, Suresh reached 12th standard. His desire was to become a doctor. In 12th exam he secured good percentage. Suresh's mother and other family members asked him to study whatever it takes to get a government job after graduation.

But Suresh's desire was to go into medical faculty.

Finally, the workers of the organization had to come back in the picture. They convinced Suresh's family and brought him to Ahmedabad to prepare for NEET. He was admitted in the coaching class. Suresh cleared the NEET exam with good marks and got admission in Government Medical College of Himmatnagar.

After getting admission in medical college, the amount required for his food and other expenses which

his mother could not provide is 3000 per month. The organization bears that expense to support him.

Suresh never thought that his dream would come true. Besides, those persons helped him who had no

obligation and responsibility to Suresh. He feels very happy and obligated for this help. He promises he

will fulfill his social obligations after completing studies. He has reaped these rich cultural values through the organization that helped him.

સુરેશ છઠ્ઠા ધોરણમાં ભણતો હતો જ્યારે એના પિતા ગુજરી ગયા. માતા પિતાના બે સંતાનોમાં એ મોટો. પરિવારની આર્થિક સ્થિતિ નબળી. ખેતમજૂરી કે જે મળે તે છુટક મજૂરી કરીને પરિવાર પેટિયું રળે. સુરેશ ભણવામાં ખુબ હોંશિયાર. પણ પિતાની છત્રછાયા ગુમાવ્યા પછી મા એને એકલા હાથે મોટો કરી શકશે કે કેમ તે અંગે શંકાઓ પણ થઈ. ક્યાંક તો ભણવાનું છોડાવી એ પણ માની મદદમાં ઘર ચલાવવામાં લાગી જાય એવી વાતો પણ થઈ.

સુરેશ ગામની પ્રાથમિકશાળામાં ભણવા જાય. આ શાળામાં શિક્ષકોની ઘટ. આ ઘટની પૂર્તી ડો.કે.આર. ક્ષોફ ફાઉન્ડેશન દ્વારા કરવામાં આવેલી. સંસ્થાના શિક્ષકના ધ્યાને સુરેશની સ્થિતિ આવી. ભણવાનું છોડી દેશેની દેહશત વિશે પણ ખ્યાલ આવ્યો. આખરે સંસ્થાના કાર્યકર્તાઓ સાથે એમણે આ બાબતે નક્કર કશુંક કરવાની વાત કરી ને સૌએ મળીને સુરેશની માતાને સમજાવી. ભણવાના ખર્ચને પહોંચી વળવા સરકારની NMNS પરીક્ષા આવે. આ પરિક્ષા વિદ્યાર્થી પાસ કરે તો દર મહિને તેને 12માં ધોરણ સુધી 1000 મળે. સુરેશને આ પરિક્ષા પાસ કરાવવામાં સંસ્થાના શિક્ષકોએ મદદ કરી અને એણે પરીક્ષા પાસ કરી. 1000 રૃપિયા માસીક મળવાથી સુરેશને બળ મળ્યું.

સંસ્થાના કાર્યકરોની સતત હૂંફથી સુરેશ ધો. 12 સુધી પહોંચ્યો. એની ઈચ્છા ડોક્ટર થવાની. બારમાં ધોરણમાં ટકા પણ સરસ આવ્યા. સુરેશની મા અને અન્ય પરિવારજનોએ એને સ્નાતક થઈ સરકારી નોકરી મેળવવા જે ભણવું પડે તે ભણવા કહ્યું. પણ સુરેશનું મન મેડીકલમાં જવાનું.

આખરે સંસ્થાના કાર્યકરો ફરી મેદાને આવ્યા. એમણે સુરેશના પરિવારને સમજાવ્યો અને નીટની તૈયારી માટે એને અમદાવાદ લઈ આવ્યા. કોચીંગ ક્લાસમાં એને દાખલ કરાવ્યો.

નીટની પરીક્ષા સુરેશે સારા માર્કસ સાથે પાસ કરી એને સરકારી મેડીકલ કોલેજ - હિંમતનગરમાં પ્રવેશ મળ્યો. 

મેડીકલ કોલેજમાં પ્રવેશ મળ્યા પછી એના ભોજન તેમજ અન્ય ખર્ચ માટે જરૃરી રકમ જે તેની માતા આપી શકે નહીં એ રકમ માસીક 3000 જેટલી થાય. જે સંસ્થા આપે. જેથી સુરેશને ટેકો રહે. 

સુરેશે ક્યારેય વિચાર્યું નહોતું કે એનું આ સ્વપ્ન સાકાર થશે. વળી એવા વ્યક્તિઓએ એને મદદ કરી જેમની કોઈ ફરજ સુરેશ માટે નહોતી. એ આ વાતથી ઘણો રાજી. પોતે પણ ભણીને સમાજઉપયોગી કાર્યોમાં પોતાનાથી થતું કરશે. આ સંસ્કાર એના ઘડતરમાં મદદ કરનાર સંસ્થા થકી એનામાં આવ્યા...
