Many things are said about teachers — their wisdom, their patience, their dedication. Yet, if one truly reflects, it becomes clear that teachers leave an indelible mark on every life they touch. Through that mark, countless children are shaped — their hearts kindled, their paths illuminated.
At KRSF, we strive to bring the light of education into the lives of over 81,200 children, and at the heart of this noble effort stands our vast and dedicated army of teachers. We place immense importance on teacher training, for training refines not only skill but also spirit. A well-trained teacher, grounded in purpose and guided by compassion, becomes a force of transformation. Perhaps it is because of our trained and devoted teachers that we continue to witness remarkable growth in the children we serve.
Recently, we were deeply moved by the story of our teacher, Prakashba, who has been serving with devotion for several years at the primary school in Kadiakamp, Vadali, Sabarkantha. When KRSF learned of a teacher shortage in Kadiakamp, Prakashba was assigned there — a placement that soon blossomed into a story of love and learning.
In the beginning, the children in her class were fearful of teachers — though the staff were kind, the children carried a quiet apprehension within. To dissolve this fear, Prakashba tried many ways, speaking gently and often. Yet the unease lingered. Then, a small but profound act changed everything.
During lunchtime, instead of joining the staff room as most teachers do, Prakashba began sitting with her students, sharing her meal beside them. At first, the children were astonished — their teacher, eating with them! But gradually, their surprise turned into joy, and their fear melted into affection. Conversations began to flow, laughter filled the room, and a beautiful bond took root.
Today, the children’s love for her is so deep that not a single one begins eating until Prakashba sits down with them. Through this simple act of togetherness, she transformed fear into friendship and turned irregular attendance into joyful regularity.
Behind this success stands the encouragement of the school’s principal and staff, whose support empowered her every step of the way. Indeed, encouragement is itself a powerful form of leadership — it breathes confidence into those who dare to do things differently.
The affection that Prakashba has shown to her students will forever live in their hearts. Her story reminds us that the true essence of education lies not just in teaching lessons, but in touching lives.
We at KRSF take immense pride in having teachers like Prakashba — beacons of love, patience, and inspiration, who continue to shape the soul of our society one child at a time.
