How did all this happen?... let's find out...

Let’s start with School Management Committee.... Do you have any idea about it?

The Compulsory Education Act came into force in the country and it provided for such a committee. Due to this provision, committees were formed in every school. However, due to the awareness of the

committee members of Vadagamda of Wadaali of Sabarkantha district, a school was saved from

becoming a past.

Before the outbreak of the Covid epidemic, the primary school in Vadagamda was taking last breaths. The number of students in the school of 1st to 5th class decreased to 23, so the school of Vadagamada was merged with the school of the neighboring village. The door of the village school was locked forever.

This hurt the village school management committee. All the people of the village had taken education in this school. Everyone's beautiful memories were associated with the school. It was heartbreaking for all to see lock hanging on the school door. Finally, they resolved to restart the school.

Committee members put forward a question before the parents who were not sending their children to

the village school. Would they like if the school becomes a past? Everyone knew what the answer would be. All brought their children back to the school and the number soared to 75. The committee appointed a teacher from its own fund. And they asked us (Dr. K. R. Shroff Foundation) for additional teachers.

Our fundamental job is always to enhance such enthusiasm. We appointed two more teachers. Witnessing courageous committee, the village also became tenacious(Firm). The school bell started ringing again. Next, they approached the district education officer and demanded that the government should appoint teachers. There was no reason that government doesn't appoint teachers in such enthusiastic village. They appointed three teachers. Thereafter we shifted one teacher from there. But our Dharmendra still does a good job over there.

The teachers appointed by the government were also committed. The committee members fully assist the teachers. Resultantly, every child loves school very much. All the children studying in this school are able to read and write. Teachers also came up with innovative ways to teach children.

Among 13 members of the committee, there are Ishwarbhai, Kalpeshbhai, Hasmukhbhai and others.

If such active management committees are formed in every government school of the country, the

education face of all government schools will certainly be reformed.

શાળા વ્યવસ્થાપન સમિતિ. તમને એના વિષે ખ્યાલ છે?

ફરજિયાત શિક્ષણ ધારો દેશમાં અમલી બન્યો એમાં આવી સમિતિની જોગવાઈ થઈ. આ જોગવાઈને લીધે સમિતિઓ તો દરેક નિશાળમાં બની પણ સાબરકાંઠાના વડાલીના વડગામડાની સમિતિના સભ્યોની જાગૃતતાના લીધે એક નિશાળ ભૂતકાળ બનતા બચી ગઈ.

કોવિડની મહામારી ફેલાઈ એ પહેલાં વડગામડાની પ્રાથમિકશાળા ડચકા લઈ રહી હતી. 1 થી 5 ધો.ની નિશાળમાં વિદ્યાર્થીઓની સંખ્યા 23 થઈ એટલે વડગામડાની નિશાળને બાજુના ગામની નિશાળમાં ભેળવી દીધી ને ગામની નિશાળના દરવાજે તાળુ મરાઈ ગયું. 

ગામની શાળા વ્યવસ્થાપન સમિતિને આ કઠ્યું. ગામના તમામ લોકો આ શાળામાં ભણેલા. સૌની સુંદર સ્મૃતિઓ શાળા સાથે જો઼ડાયેલી. આ બધાને શાળાના દરવાજે તાળુ લટકતું જોઈને જીવ બળે. આખરે સૌએ શાળાને ફેર ચાલુ કરવાનો નિર્ધાર કર્યો. 

જે વાલીઓ ગામની નિશાળમાં પોતાના બાળકોને નહોતા ભણાવતા તેમને સમિતિના સભ્યોએ શાળા ભૂતકાળ બને તો ગમે? એવો વેધક સવાલ કર્યો.

જવાબ શું મળશે એવી સૌને ખબર હતી. સૌ પોતપોતાના બાળકોને ગામની શાળામાં પરત લઈ આવ્યા અને સંખ્યા 75ની થઈ. સમિતિએ પોતાના ખર્ચે એક શિક્ષકની નિયુક્તી કરી. અને બીજા શિક્ષકો માટે એમણે અમને(ડૉ. કે. આર. શ્રોફ ફાઉન્ડેશનમાં) રજૂઆત કરી. અમારુ તો કામ જ આવા ઉત્સાહને વધારવાનું હતું. અમે બે શિક્ષકો મુક્યા.

સમિતિની સાથે સાથે ગામને પણ હિંમત આવી. નિશાળનો ઘંટ જે નહોતો વાગતો એ વાગવા માંડ્યો. હવે સૌ પહોંચ્યા જિલ્લા શિક્ષણાધિકારી પાસે ને સરકાર શિક્ષક મુકે તેની માંગ કરી.

સરકાર આવા ઉત્સાહી ગામોમાં શિક્ષક કેમ ન મુકે? એમણે ત્રણ શિક્ષક મુક્યા. એ પછી અમે એક શિક્ષકને ત્યાંથી ખસેડ્યા. પણ અમારો ધર્મેન્દ્ર તો ત્યાં સરસ કામ કરે..

સરકારે મુકેલા શિક્ષકો પણ કટીબદ્ધ. સમિતિના સભ્યો શિક્ષકોને પૂર્ણ રીતે મદદ કરે. જેના લીધે બાળકોને પણ નિશાળ ખુબ ગમે. આ નિશાળમાં ભણતા તમામ બાળકોને વાંચતા, લખતા આવડે. બાળકોને ભણાવવાની રીતો પણ શિક્ષકોએ અવનવી શોધી.

સમિતિના સભ્યોમાં ઈશ્વરભાઈ, કલ્પેશભાઈ, હસમુખભાઈ એવા 13 જેટલા સભ્યો વગેરે સૌની સક્રિયતાને સલામ.

દેશની દરેક સરકારી નિશાળમાં આવી સક્રિય વ્યવસ્થાપન સમિતિઓ થઈ જાય તો સરકારી શાળાઓની સકલ બદલાઈ જાય..
