Approximately 275 students study in the primary    school in Vikharan village in Khedbrahma.

However, it is more appropriate to say that they      were merely registered. Before 2022, absenteeism  apparently skyrocketed. All the teachers of the primary school worked hard under the guidance of

Acharya Mr. Amitbhai Patel, but the parents were    very indifferent towards education. As a result, the

children too were particularly not interested in        school. Also, the level of addiction in the village      was  also high.

We have filled the vacancy of a teacher in this        school. Since 2015 Dr. K. R. Shroff Foundation

placed teachers in this school. Our teacher mixes  with government school teachers just like sugar in  milk. Although the entire team is strong, the desired results are not visible due to the constant absence of   children. This matter repeatedly comes to our attention. We consistently feel that parents can turn their attention to children only if they turn away from  the path of addiction.

Saints of Swaminarayan sect work in this area to    remove bad habits from the community so that one

can live a healthy life and everyone can live with    each other with loyalty, honesty and brotherhood.

the school spoke to Saints of this sect about the situation in Vikharan village. Thereupon, Saints    visited the village.

Saints would hold meetings in which social reforms were discussed along with devotional bhajans.

Gradually, the amount of addiction among the parents started to decrease. They started sending children to school in clean clothes. After that, the saints organized a children's meeting every Saturday.

There were tales of fun with knowledge in the meeting to build, shape and mold the life. This changed the status of the primary school in the village of Vikharan. In the school where there was constant absenteeism, the children have now become regular. Parents also started to take interest in the school.

The whole staff of the school is also satisfied with the fact that we appointed a teacher in this school.

They express their gratitude to the founder of our foundation, Respected Mr. Pratulbhai, and also time

and again invite him to visit the school. Pratulbhai went to school while he was visiting Vikharan. The

computer lab built from the government grant was inaugurated by Pratulbhai on request from the

teachers. The matter of proud about this lab was that the teachers contributed to make up for the lack

of finances in building the lab. Right from the principal to the teachers of this school, have lot of

affection for the children. Khedbrahma BRC and Vikharan CRC also take great interest in the

development of the school.

The children organized their assembly that day at the school itself. They themselves managed the entire

event. We are aware that leadership qualities automatically generate from this type of efforts. While we

were leaving after visiting the school, Pricipal asked Pratulbhai to wait for a while and said, ''You are for us! With the help of a teacher you provided, the number of children in our school has increased. Help of other teachers has motivated us to do concrete work for the children. You selflessly appointed more than 650 teachers in different government schools, and while the government gives us salary, why

should we fall back from our duty? We will do the best in the development of these children.” Dilipbhai

Patel, the teacher of the school, works hand-in-hand with the principal. He also expressed the same

sentiment.

It is nice to see the excitement of government school bustling with children today. But all this is result of the joint efforts of the government, foundation and Swaminarayan sect's saints.

શ્રી પ્રતુલભાઈ, કે. આર. શ્રોફ ફાઉંડેશનના ફાઉંડર ટ્રસ્ટીની ''પ્રગતિશીલ ગામ અને શાળાની મુલાકાત.''

અંદાજે 275 વિદ્યાર્થીઓ ખેડબ્રહ્માના વીખરણગામની પ્રાથમિકશાળામાં ભણે. આમ તો પ્રવેશ મેળવ્યો એવું કહેવું વધારે ઉચીત. મૂળ ગેરહાજરીનું પ્રમાણ 2022 પહેલાં ઊડીને આંખે વળગે તેવું. પ્રાથમિકશાળાના સમગ્ર શિક્ષકો, આચાર્ય શ્રી અમીતભાઈ પટેલના માર્ગદર્શન નીચે જબરી મહેનત કરે પણ વાલીઓ શિક્ષણ પ્રત્યે ઉદાસીન એટલે બાળકોને પણ શાળામાં ખાસ રસ ન પડે. વળી          ગામમાં વ્યસનનું પ્રમાણ પણ ઠીકઠીક.

આ શાળામાં શિક્ષકની ઘટની પૂર્તી અમે કરેલી. 2015થી અમે એટલે કે ડો.કે.આર.શ્રોફ ફાઉન્ડેશને આ શાળામાં શિક્ષક મુક્યા. સરકારી શાળાના શિક્ષકની સાથે દૂધમાં સાકર ભળે એમ ભળીને અમારા શિક્ષક કામ કરે.

સમગ્ર ટીમ જોરદાર પણ બાળકોની સતત ગેરહાજરીના લીધે ઈચ્છીત પરિણામ ન દેખાય. અમારા ધ્યાને પણ આ વિગતો વારંવાર આવે. વાલીઓ વ્યસનના માર્ગેથી પાછા વળે તો બાળકો તરફ એ ધ્યાન આપી શકે એવું અમને સતત લાગે. આ વિસ્તારમાં સ્વામીનારાયણ સંપ્રદાયના સંતો સમાજમાંથી દૂષણ દૂર થાય, વ્યક્તિ તંદુરસ્ત જીવન જીવી શકે. નિષ્ઠા, પ્રમાણિકતા, ભાઈચારાથી સૌ રહે તે માટે કામ કરે. આ સંપ્રદાયના સંતોને અમારા ક્લસ્ટર હેડ શ્રી ગીરીશભાઈ તેમજ શાળાના શિક્ષક ગણે વીખરણગામની સ્થિતિ અંગે વાત કરી અને સંતોની પધરામણી ગામમાં થઈ.

સંતો સભા કરે જેમાં ભજન કીર્તનની સાથે સાથે સમાજ સુધારાની વાતો થાય. ધીમે ધીમે વાલીઓમાંથી વ્યસનનું પ્રમાણ ઘટવા માંડ્યું. બાળકોને નાહી ધોહી ચોખ્ખા કપડા પહેરાવી નિશાળ મોકલતા થયા. એ પછી સંતોએ બાળકોની સભાનું આયોજન દર શનિવારે કરવાનું કર્યું. જેમાં જ્ઞાન સાથે ગમ્મત અને જીવન ઘડતરની વાતો થાય. આ થવાથી વીખરણની ગામની પ્રાથમિકશાળાની સ્થિતિ બદલાઈ ગઈ. 

જે શાળામાં સતત ગેરહાજરી વર્તાતી હતી ત્યાં હવે બાળકો નિયમીત થઈ ગયા. વાલીઓ પણ શાળામાં રસ લેતા થયા.

અમે આ શાળામાં શિક્ષક મુક્યા એનાથી પણ શાળાનો આખો સ્ટાફ રાજી. અમારા ફાઉન્ડેશનના સ્થાપક આદરણીય શ્રી પ્રતુલભાઈ પ્રત્યે કૃતજ્ઞતા વ્યક્ત કરે ને તેમને સતત શાળામાં આવવા આમંત્રણ પણ આપે. તે હમણાં વીખરણ તરફ નીકળતા પ્રતુલભાઈએ શાળામાં જવાનું કર્યું. સરકારી ગ્રાન્ટમાંથી ઊભી કરાયેલી કમ્પ્યુટર લેબનું ઉદ્ધાટન શાળાના શિક્ષકગણે પ્રતુલભાઈ પાસે કરાવ્યું.

આ લેબની મજાની વાત લેબ બનાવવામાં જ્યાં આર્થિક ઘટ પડી તેની પૂર્તી શિક્ષકોએ ભેગા મળીને કરી તે હતી. બાળકો માટેનો લગાવ આ શાળાના આચાર્ય થી લઈને શિક્ષકોને ઘણો. ખેડબ્રહ્મા BRC શ્રી અને વીખરણ CRC શ્રી પણ શાળાના વિકાસમાં ખુબ રસ લે.

બાળકોએ આજે પોતાની સભા શાળામાં જ આયોજીત કરી. આ સભાનું સમગ્ર સંચાલન બાળકો જાતે કરે. આમ લીડરશીપના ગુણ પણ આમાંથી વીકસે છે. અમે શાળાની મુલાકાત લઈને નીકળી રહ્યા હતા ત્યારે આચાર્યે શ્રીએ પ્રતુલભાઈને ઊભા રાખીને

"તમે અમારા માટે  છો કહ્યું. તમે આપેલા એક શિક્ષકની મદદથી અમારી શાળામાં બાળકોની સંખ્યા વધી અને અમને અન્ય શિક્ષકો મળ્યા જેના કારણે અમે બાળકો માટે નક્કર કાર્ય કરવા પ્રેરાયા. તમે નિસ્વાર્થ 650 થી વધારે શિક્ષકો જુદી જુદી સરકારી શાળામાં મુક્યા તો અમને સરકાર પગાર આપે અમે અમારા કર્તવ્યમાંથી પાછા શું કામ હટીએ? અમે આ બાળકોના ઘડતરમાં ઉત્તમ કરીશું.." નું કહ્યું. આચાર્ય સાથે શાળાના શિક્ષક દીલીપભાઈ પટેલે ખભોખભો મીલાવી કામ કરે તેમણે પણ આવો ભાવ વ્યક્ત કર્યો. 

આજે સરકારી શાળા બાળકોથી ઘમઘમતી જોવી એ લાહવો. પણ આ બધો પરિશ્રમ સરકાર, ફાઉન્ડેશન અને સંતોએ કરેલા સહિયારા પ્રયાસનું પરિણામ.. સૌનું શુભ થાવાનો પ્રાર્થના..
